Full-time Positions Available

Shop Supervisor / First Hand

Duties:

• Supervise stitchers and production staff in all aspects of costume construction and maintainance for both stage and theme-park-type character costumes.
• Assist the designer in planning work schedules, monitoring materials inventory and meeting production deadlines.
• Assist in the pulling and co-ordinating of show rentals, supervising alterations and pack out.
• Be able to pattern, cut and stitch as needed.

Experience & Skills:

• Knowledge in all areas of hand and machine sewing and of construction techniques.
• Experience in flat-patterning, draping and grading.
• Good grasp of fashion history.
• Ability to manage people and good communication skills.

Costume Technicians

Duties:

• Costume construction, alterations and maintainance.
• Cutting and craft-work as needed.

Experience & Skills:

• Knowledge in all areas of hand and machine sewing and construction techniques.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
